Purpose
Experience is a great way to learn. Discover the different parts of a job: how it is accomplished, the various possible careers within an area, even talk, work, or shadow people that work in a field. Learning about work-based possibilities through professionals and their experiences opens the door to various job opportunities.
Vocational Tech Centers
Sikeston Career and Technology Center: Training for High School students, Adult/ Community Education and a Practical Nursing program; Many area schools send students to this career center. Here is a list of the schools that send students.

Volunteer Opportunties
United Way of Southeast Missouri: There are many programs and organizations that the United Way assists. Being involved in the various programs to helping the United Way directly.
Southeast Missouri Food Bank: Volunteers can help communities through volunteering at the food bank. There are many areas of volunteering from sorting canned food donations to packing food for children.
